Vault Tridents can be obtained by crafting them in a Vault Forge (see recipe above), Ornate Chests, The Black Market, Vendor Pedestals, and completion crates of the Cursed Vault Objectives.
Vault Tridents use the Axe proficiency inside the Vault Forge.
Instead of enchanting your Vault Trident with vanilla enchantments, there are new implicits that will act as your different Trident enchantments. Along with a couple other additional unique prefixes.
Loyalty is an implicit works just like the vanilla Loyalty enchantment, the level of the modifier matches the same functionality as the vanilla Loyalty enchantment of the same level. It goes up to a max of 4.
Riptide is an implicit works just like the vanilla Riptide enchantment, the level of the modifier matches the same functionality as the vanilla Loyalty enchantment of the same level. It goes up to a max of 4.
Channeling works differently from vanilla Tridents, in order to make use of it, you need another new modifier, Channeling Chance, the lightning effect will trigger randomly based off the percentage of your Channeling Chance modifier. When it triggers, the lightning does twice the damage of a thrown trident to all entities hit (capped at 1/5 of max health for players) and triggers any of your effect clouds. This modifier has no levels.
Channeling Chance is a prefix dictates the % chance you have to trigger your Channeling lighting strike, for example, if you have a 40% Channeling chance, 40% of the time your trident hits a target it will cause lightning to strike. Requires Channeling implicit to activate.
Windup Time Reduction is a prefix that reduces the time you have to charge your Trident before you can throw it. It will reduce the base time by the % chance shown on the modifier. There is no visual indicator when the Trident is ready to throw.

Vault Tridents were inspired by a suggestion in the vh-118-suggestions on the Vault Hunters discord, particularly the idea of different modifiers to match up with vanilla Trident enchantments.
Vault Tridents were added in v0.9.5, alongside the Vault Battlestaff.
Like the Vault Battlestaff, transmog rarities do not apply, so you can roll Omega transmogs on a Scrappy trident for example.
If lightning from a Channeling Trident kills a Champion, it will delete their drops. (not technically a bug but something to keep in mind)
Rarely, Vault Tridents can be deleted with certain interactions with claim protection mods.
