¶ Obtaining
Smashed Vault Gems can only be obtained by breaking Vault Ore blocks, there is an 18% chance that instead of gems you will get a Smashed Vault Gem instead.
¶ Trivia
In early versions of the pack, the chance for the Smashed Vault Gem was depedent on the type of ore it was, for example, Larimar was the least likely to drop one. This was changed later to a flat 18%.
